Will Rahul Gandhi become the Prime Minister of India in 2019

2019LokSabh Elections

New Dehli: He might… if people vote for Congress in 2019 and give them a good majority Rahul will become the PM. In the Congress party line of succession ( it’s a primarily single family party) Rahul is waiting in the wings to be coronated. Today he has made it clear that he aspires to be the PM. Nothing wrong with aspiring for the top job. The most important question is – Does he possess the ability to chart the future course of this country & its 1.3 billion citizens? What is his vision for india? What are his plans to achieve this vision? Unfortunately no one has asked him these questions.

I do not wish to mock Rahul Gandhi; enough has been said in this matter but I do want some clarification from him:

What did he mean when he said “Poverty is a state of mind”

When he said “Power is poison” why then is he adapting all sorts of dirty games to become the PM of this country?

What did he mean when he said – politics is in my shirt & in my pant ( if you are laughing out loud, please remember these are actual quotes & one needs answers to what he exactly meant… not a joke)

What did he mean when he said you can put up a potato factory ( aalu ki factory…. Potatoes are grown in fields not in factories) & then went on to say that if you insert a potato on one end of the machine it would come out as gold on the other end.

What did he mean in Singapore when he said he wants to connect all MRI machines… for what does he want to connect them? What purpose does it serve?

During a recent public interaction someone asked him about the threat portals like Amazon & Flipkart pose to smaller stores… he mumbles something about demonetization and GST. I’m still trying to figure that one out. But I want to ask him what’s the connection? What exactly are you trying to say?

Every public rally he has a long list of allegations against the current government and PM. Why doesn’t he talk about what his government has achieved over the past 60 years when they ruled India. Criticizing the government on issues that are of importance and doing it effectively is the job of the opposition in a good democracy. Then why does Rahul Gandhi not do it effectively. He is short of facts. His numbers are all over the place. He cannot question the government effectively. He needs to be prompted in the parliament by his party men. Why doesn’t he prepare & take the issues head on rather than orchestrating a ruckus in the parliament.

Why does he meet Lalu Prasad Yadav who is a convicted criminal serving jail? What business does he have with him?

Why does he keep saying his party has love in its heart but on the other hand he cuts short Vande Mataram. How do we trust someone who cannot get up from his chair for Vande Mataram. What love for the country is this?

The list can go on since there are many such examples. But the moot point here is will the people of the country trust him? He is pushing 50 years of age and still calls himself a youth leader. Does his IQ match that of a mature 50 year old? I for one would not trust him to run my country.

I do not want an era of congress again where the only headlines are those of mega scams. So yes, he can become the PM but I do not know many who want that to happen
